Evergreen Video Series

The Goal

LRCD was looking for a new way to tell their story in a way that would allow the public to better understand what they do and how it benefits the community. LRCD is more than just a landlord. They provide services and support to their tenants and work tirelessly to find ways to develop more affordable housing for the Lakes Region. LRCD, a non-profit, depends on the support of their community to do what they do. Therefore, they wanted to get their story out there in a meaningful way, as they could generate more monetary donations as well as general advocacy support from the public to add more affordable housing.

The JMG Solution

To address their need, JMG suggested an Evergreen video series that could tell the LRCD story in small bites, focusing on each aspect of the organization.

Through these videos, the LRCD story would be told by the very people who are doing the work, and it could be posted to YouTube and shared across social media, on the LRCD Website, in emails, presentations, and more. The videos would be short yet impactful and could essentially be used any time for years to come. The initial need and priority were for the videos to be ready in time to promote the NH Gives 2023 campaign, in which LRCD was a recipient organization.

The JMG Delivery

JMG worked with LRCD to discover their goals for what the ultimate messages should be. What did they want the public to understand about them through these videos?

With goals finalized, JMG crafted interview questions that would help achieve that messaging. Those interview questions were used for interviews conducted and filmed by JMG at the LRCD offices.

JMG then went into post-production, editing the videos, adding graphics, music, and more to craft them into (5) short (3-5 minute) videos. 

Today, the videos are being shared on an ongoing basis as appropriate.

The Impact

The videos have not been out for long, so it’s a little early to tell the lasting impact. However, the initial use of the videos was for the NH Gives campaign, and LRCD was excited to report they surpassed their NH Gives fundraising goal. Over the two-day campaign, they raised $5,265!
